In that case maybe you could have your different conditions (of reflection) and record EEG or EPRs before and after the training (practice?) of reflection? The correlation between conditions and empathy could be measured behaviourally possibly? And the differences in EEG or ERP amplitude and latency between the conditions if any could highlight the different functional patterns of brain activation between people trained in different conditions? Is this a sort of study you envisage?
how would you suggest to measure empathy behaviorally? i want to compare between conditions by eeg activity, by its correlation to mirror neurons (MNS). i am looking for researches that measured eeg activity ( mu waves as indication for MNS) while verbal reflecting
I meant to say you can measure behaviourally the correllation between empathy and different types of verbal reflection. It depends on what kind of psychomteric tests are available for either, this is not my area really. Then the differences in EEG between conditions, i.e., between different types of reflection in turn would show the relation to empathy. Alternatively, you could possibly find literature on whether any EEG differences (particularly in measures you are specifically interested in , e.g., mu waves) exist in high and low empathy subtypes and compare with your future findings of differences in EEG (if any) between different verbal reflection types.
