I want to purify IgY from eggs using a PEG based protocol since this is cheap and fairly simple, compared to amoniumsulphate methods. I have only found protocols where one has to centrifuge at high speed at 4 dgrees. I don't have acces to a cooled centrifuge that can go to more than 4000g. I can centrifuge at 10 000g but then I can not control the temperature. How important is the temperature? Does anyone have another idea on how I can approach my problem?
