Subject-based: Environment, technology, etc.
Success based: Reward, audience reached, etc.
Age based: 30 years and under, youth, etc.
Region based: Country, city, state, etc.
Gender based: woman, man, etc.
Membership based: Ashoka, etc.

You can also use grounded theory (G.T.) research method. Because it has a more comprehensive look.
