I have done the XRD of Fe3O4 nanoparticles using Rigaku machine and it is fine but when i have done it using PANalytical XRD apparatus so it is not showing any peak and only noise is coming why it is happening ?If voltage or source is affecting or any other problem...
Did you check that wavelength was the same for the two experiments?
Usually for iron-based compounds, we use cobalt radiation that will decrease the fluorescency coming from the iron irradiated with copper radiation.
Did you check the presence (or not) of secondary monochromator that can also remove fluorescency ?
Last possiblity: the energy windwo in the case of an energy disersive detector

In addition to Pascal's suggestions, it may also be possible that sample is not in the goniometer circle of the XRD machine. Please check height of the sample while mounting it in the machine. Otherwise if X-Ray source that is wavelength, slit width, current and voltage are maintained constant then XRD peaks in terms of positions and peak width should be same unless and until material that is being analysed is not changed.
The pattern must be the same on both the diffractometers. Do you repeated the measurement to be sure that no accidental error occurred? (wrong mounting of the sample, of the receiving or diverging slits..) The tube works well? And the detector? The measurement was repeated on the same sample after some time? May have occurred a sample degradation?
Yes of course when the apparatus changed the XRD pattern changed and its because of parameteres which depend on apparatus such as electron beam wavelength and ...
Stick to the Rigaku machine since it is obviously working while the PAN is not (who knows why, impossible to tell without more info, but obviously it needs to fixed or aligned properly). Also XRD has nothing to do with electron beam wavelength, that would be a TEM. Voltage and current will only effect the signal to noise, but will not change the pattern in any other way.
i think it is the alignment problem, because for same material pattern should be same. Sample alignment or the detector alignment can affect that.
Also the possible reason is the change in materials surface composition. Since Iron can rust very fast, so it might be due to surface composition.
In the second case you should just clean the surface by some mechanical or chemical method and do it repeatedly with the same experiment conditions. I hope you will get the right results.
No, Mr. Vinay If all the parameters like theta ,counts, step size ,scan time etc are same then the graph should be same and peaks should appear at the same palce.
Either you put the sample at wrong place or not place the sample accuratly.
