It happens that after review the editor sends the corresponding authors an email about the review outcomes and the changes that need to be made for a second submission the authors are invited for -- but at no deadline, what does this implicitly mean? what shall the authors do?
Faysal - that is strange. Usually editors will give you a deadline within the correspondence. If there is not - it might be an idea to get back to them and ask. On the other hand, their administrators would probably get back to you after a period of time and request progress. For editors that do not suggest a deadline - i suppose that they would assume that your resubmission will be a swift one - as you have not been rejected and, even if it is a major revision, that is still encouraging to many authors.

Resubmission should be as early as possible. Authors should not waste their time.
