I have given one of my papers to publish in a journal. That was published and after the publication of that article, they again submit that article to a different publication without taking my consent, what to do about this?
I would suggest contacting the editor(s) for both journals. I think the journal that you truly meant to submit to would be more likely to take action because their copyright has been breached.
I am a bit puzzled. Who do you mean with ‘they’? Do you mean one of your co-authors? Or do you mean the journal “Tattva-Sindhu”. This is to say the least mysterious since I estimate the journal as an honest and legit one (I checked the UGC-CARE claim, and this claim is true).
It is in another way puzzling since the same is true for “NIU International Journal of Human Rights” which I estimate as genuine and legit (their UGC CARE claim is true as well). I did find a warning of the journal on their homepage https://niu.edu.in/niuijhr/ , see enclosed file (click on Predatory Journal Alert Statement). I opened the latest issue Volume 9, 2022 and was unable to find the paper.
So can you provide a link or copy of the statement with the announcement of the publication in this journal or did you receive an offer that they want to publish it. In case of an offer, it might be one of those fraudsters around that try to deceive you.
Is this clarifying the matter somewhat?
Best regards.
PS. If this is the work of fraudsters then I am afraid that not much can be done besides never pay. These are close to criminals which will not comply to any kind of proper scientific standards.
Just curious what are your damages? If you do not have any why spend time on it. I had my books published without permission in over 200 websites. I do not care as long as I get a reference. Maybe with the exception two web sites which got millions for my books.
Hello Mr. Rob Keller they means they are agent of Publication house. yes they sent me a copy of that whatever published in NIU INternational Journal of Human Rights Volume 10 (III), 2023.
I am pretty sure it is fake. There will be no issue III of volume 10.
I found an example of a similar claim:
DR. NEELAM HOODA A Study of Women’s Character in Short Stories of Amrita Pritam in Progressive Light, NIU International Journal of Human Rights Vol 8 (III) 2021 (pg 70-80) (ISSN 2394-0298). When you look for this paper on the official site there is no such paper since as said there is no issue III of in this case volume 8.
Or take this example (in volume 9 (II):
Article CONCEPTUALIZATION OF DHARMA AND SOCIAL OBLIGATION:A DELINATI...
this paper cannot be found in volume 9 (see enclosed file). As said there is no issue III and no issue II.
Another indication for being fake is that this indicated paper (like ‘yours’) cannot be found on the internet. Does the publication house/agent have a name (and identifiable details website, email address etc.)? If you want to be absolutely sure you can ask the NIU journal (via the official website) and I am pretty sure that they will confirm that it is all an attempt to mislead you (sooner or later they will ask for money…).
