I have been a phd graduate for about five years now and i am re thinking to publish parts of the phd which i have completed in the field of government and international affairs more specifically on the subject on politics and identity in Jordan and palestine in 2017. i have actually thought of publishing after graduation but thought of getting some writing experience before publishing.
There will always be publishers for anything... but introspect and try to identify who will be the potential readers. If there are no readers, no use in the publication, generally speaking.
So, I will take some time to make the manuscript relevant to the current circumstances and then get it published.
I partially agree with Vijaya Kittu Manda but on the other hand, if this is your first book, you should try it for experience.

It took me 13 years to complete my PhD and another 13 years to get my first journal publication about it so I would say it is never too late. However, you need to consider the relevance of your findings and whether your literature review needs updating.
