Nanobiotechnology has been applied to biomass pretreatment and I too wish to make a similar application wherein I want to assess how well the nanoparticles can delignify the coconut coir biomass. However I am clueless as to what systematic/standard procedure I must follow.

Its easier to remove everything else and leave the lignin. Lignin is too stable to be easily removed. What do you mean by "nanoparticle delignification"? Doesn't make any sense. Solvolysis of the lignin your best option to remove it.
