The species is difficult to distinguish on the photograph, as not all important characters are visible.
However, if they have a long dorsal [dorsal-fin base more than half of body length] and anal fin they really belong to Idiacanthus.
Two species are known from the South Atlantic (and adjacent Southern Ocean), I. atlanticus and I. fasciola. If the dorsal-fin origin is behind the pelvic-fin origin (and there are 19-23 photophores from pelvic-fin origin to anal-fin origin), it would be I. atlanticus; if the dorsal-fin origin is in advance of the pelvic-fin origin (and 14-16 photophores from pelvic-fin origin to anal-fin origin), it would be I. fasciola.
Judging from the collecting locality, Idiacanthus atlanticus would be more probable as I. fasciola prefers tropical and warm temperate water.
