Find another supervisor

As per my opinion find another supervisorr .

Just to clarify, is it fruitless to apply without selecting the advisor first?

Dear I think you can try to meet them personally....

Then select appropriate decision...

Because sometime guides expect more respect & attention....

I wonder how much information was supplied when you approached your potential supervisors?

If you really need/want that person, give them another chance (emails get missed, lost, etc.). Requesting an appointment (even by phone) to discuss your request may clarify whether they are interested in your topic/you.

Please do not force yourself to be supervised by them if they decide not to respond. It may be a sign of a potential toxic supervisor-student relationship. Otherwise, they will turn you into a miserable student once you are under their wing.

Advisors are interested to help students with clear research ideas/concepts. Hence, first, you have to select potential researchable area/s and then develop a well organized concept note/s (briefly introduce the subject, the purpose, your motives/the gaps identified, methodology to be employed, etc). Having written a well-articulated concept note, you can search for potential advisors (experts in your area of interest) and share your concept note. I hope this will help you.
