I am having troubles in disolving hesperidin, I tried Dimethylformamide and acetic acid 0.01 M (20:80) but it is not working.
Dear Sir. Concerning your issue about the preparation of hesperidin a solution for analysis by spectrophotometric method. To determine Hesp in the pharmaceutical dosage forms, the mass content of twenty capsules were weighed and the average mass of one capsule was evaluated. The equivalent of two capsules was accurately weighed and tran sferred to a 1000-mL volumetric flask. About 50 mL of 60% methanol was added to dissolve the drug. After sonicating and shaking the mixture for 30 min, it was com pleted to volume with the same solvent. Solution was filtered through the Whatman No. 1. filter paper. The sample solution was obtained by transferring 4 mL of this solution into 100-mL volumetric flask and adding 60% of met hanol to the volume. The procedure was repeated five times. Here, we underline that according to the factory declaration, two capsules contain 751 mg of Citrus flavonoids and 1000 mg of vitamin C. for more details, I think the following attached file may help you in your analysis:
