I need to understand the reaction velocity of formation of Bismuth Oxide depending on temperature. I need to explain why at room temperature I did not get that but only metallic bismuth. I used Unbalanced Magnetron Sputtering to produce thin films and then I used annealing process

Bismuth oxide is very easy to reduce. So depending of the sputtering conditions you use, you can reduce bismuth oxide into metallic bismuth during sputtering. Take care of the sputtering pressure and sputtering power. For instance you will see what happen when you sputter an iron oxide target in Mauvernay, B. and Presmanes, Lionel and Bonningue, Corine and Tailhades, Philippe ( 2008)
