There are other ways to destruct ozone, but the standard method is to flow the ozonated air through a bed of organic (activate carbon materials) or inorganic (MnO2/Cu2O) destruct granules. Activated carbon granules (i.e., coconut hull charcoal, etc) are much cheaper than inorganic catalysts, but need to be replace more frequently and have the potential to be combustible. Regardless of the solid catalyst you use the destruct reaction vessel will get warm and possibly very hot, so construct your destruct reactor out of appropriate materials (i.e., metal, preferably 300 series SS) and avoid introducing any combustible materials into your destruct reactor.
I use Caralite 200 in my primary ozone destruct reactors and coconut hull charcoal in secondary destruct reactors.
Place the carulite-200 in a steel of stainless steel canister (never use PVC) and flow ozone gas through the carulite filled canister. Very effective, and very reliable, true catalytic ozone destruction.
Do not use carbon, it creates heat, and a potential fire hazard.
Do not use UV, it is not efficient enough to get the ozone level low enough to be safe.
