Hi, there are separate sections for dependent and independent varaibles in SPSS. In case you have control variables, you can enter first all the control in the indepednet section and then click on "next" (appears above the independent section), after you clicked on next, now enter your IVs. However your dependent will usuall place. Then run your test.

You can use Hierarchical Regression in SPSS by entering the control variables in the second step of the equation.
