you could try electrofomation/electroswelling for modest improvement. However, these liposomes will be quite large (~20 micrometers). If you have access to microfluidic equipment, microfluidic jetting will ensure effective encapsulation. You could check out Jeanne Stachowiak's PNAS paper doi: 10.1073/pnas.0710875105 and follow-up work.
Different methods of liposome manufacture and drug loading are explained in the attached papers. Have a look and let me know if you have further questions.
Thank you for your help, but I couldn't find a method for encapsulating a drug in the liposome. It would be great if you can help me with that because I am confused regarding the method,as in what conditions to use for incubation etc.Also, flouroscent muscimol is a very expensive drug, so I don't think it is worth testing with this drug all the time, so, can you suggest a cheaper alternative of a flouroscent drug to test the EE.
