I am an honours student in the Linguistics Department. I am eager to conduct BNLP research and am interested in pursuing a higher education in this discipline (NLP) . How can I begin taking measures to work in this industry outside of my studies? Please help with information or guidance.
Hello Dina! I am not a researcher and most probably I am your junior. I think you can read more papers and articles that are written on BNLP and find a research gap. Then you can go ahead with the topic.
First thing mist be first... decide your area of study e.g. NLP ... convert your idea into a topic e.g. Exploring the Impacts of NLP Practices on (specific area/skill/habit) ... formulate some research questions and the research methodology .... after doing all that discuss it with your research supervisor and follow the instructions ...
Before you think of a research topic in NLP, I suggest you go through the 12 domains of Cognitive Psychology. However, choose an independent variable from NLP and one dependent variable from linguistics, and then put these variables in a catchy title for your research...
