I am currently doing my final year project and so i am using autodock tools. But the display on my laptop doesn't seems right as it is grainy and dark. I couldn't see my receptor clearly.
Sorry to reopen an old thread... I have never had this type of problem here until I had to format my hard drive and install windows 10. Now I am having this issue too. Did you manage to solve it?
The problem is with integrated intel graphic processor, if you have another graphics processor in your laptop, you can switch to that. Browse to MGLtools folder in c drive, change the default graphic processor for python.exe to other graphics processor instead of default integrated one. This will solve the problem.
Saurabh Loharch problem solved! It was as you said: for some reasons Autodock was using the CPU instead (i guess once I installed the drivers again the GPU manager decided that python didn't need a GPU...fool!) Thank you again!
Ludovico Pipito Could you explain how you were able to solve that? I am having the same issue, and I'm sure that it is using my CPU instead of my GPU. I have located the mgltools folder, but am not sure what to do from there?
Ok guys, I will explain how to solve this problem (in more detail): Go to your graphic processor settings, usually you can reach it from desktop, by right clicking and click on graphic card control panel( for example, in my case its Nvidia control panel). Or you can also reach your graphic card settings through notification area. Once you are in graphic card settings, go to program settings, in there add new program by browsing to python.exe file which is present in mgltools folder in c drive. and change the graphic card setting to nvidia instead of default intel graphic processor. I hope this will help you. :)
