Currently I am working with rat blood serum. Instead of metabolomic or proteomic, can I get opinions on any other analysis which can be conducted using the serum (at least strong enough to use data for paper publication). For your info, I am working with hypercholesterolemic rats.

Noor: We've done a lot of Western blotting on serum as well as synovial fluids from various species and disease conditions. The trick is that we avoided the traditional second anbibody-HRP by directly coupling HRP to the primary antibody. The results were beautiful and got published along with qPCR and MS data (check out our papers in my RG). Good luck.
