When it comes to human threat I tend to focus on the actions leading up to an active event whether it is a physical action or insider threat action. It seems to me (have not conducted research to support this statement) that we are either seeing or uncovering more instances of potential insider issues resulting in an attack or breach of some sort.
If that may be part of your focus, or if radicalization is part of your focus, I would suggest research by Reid Meloy, there is a great deal on his website, some of the studies conducted related to the TRAP-18 SPJ he developed. Any research related to Insider Threat, the Defense Personnel and Security Research Center has an excellent Threat Lab that has routine publications providing additional insight and links to research.
