I want to perform an ELISA kit to test the collagen type 1 in primary human cardiac fibroblasts when they differentiate into myofibroblasts. I was searching for a kit to test collagen 1 but the only kit i found was human procollagen type 1. (other kits are not highly cited) however, this kit is used to quantify the type 1 collagen. Do you think it would be possible to utilize this kit for direct quantification of collagen type 1 in cardiac fibroblasts to validate their differentiation into myofibroblasts?
