Discovery means to find out or we can say examination or exploration of something. Yes it can be new one or may be just confirmation with the previous ideas.
Invention means discovery of something new to world that has no clue previous occurrence.
Innovation means new inventions or ideas that can be applied to society/ humankind to transform them into a better way. So it is applied part of any research to the society.
In scientific way I can say that I discovered chromosome numbers in so many plant species. In some plants the chromosome number which I found was in conformity with the previous one but in some cases I found some new chromosome number than the already existing chromosome numbers in that particular plant.
I invented chromosome number in 4 plants which were previously not analyzed by any researcher for their cytological point of view.
So along with new chromosome number findings in economically important plant species we can go further to improve or can utilize than on commercial basis. With increase in ploidy generally it seems that in amount also get multiplied 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x…………….so on. So every aspect of research has an innovative approach but it depends how we proceed it further.
