How will 4IR technologies exponentially continue to grow rapidly in contact, blended and open distance learning spaces? In view of this, how will the 4IR impact on these teaching and learning spaces, to support students’ personalised learning. In addition, the new 4IR technologies and Yusuf and Nur (2019) claim is, challenging notions of online pedagogy, in particular the processes involved in “flipping or inverted or ubiquitous” the settings, and how students learn in contact, blended or open distance learning environments. How will we embrace the 4IR paradigm in a socially sustainable way? How will the 4IR to transform and rethink the existing praxis and curricula?
