High levels of IgE haven't relationship with etiology, severity or response to therapy. Is classical to say that high levels of IgE in atopic dermatitis, is related with food allergy.
Dr Americo, though high levels are with atopic dermatitis, the levels must be above 2000 as a parameter. but in cases of prurigo the levels of IgE are not that high. so how should one infer the rise in IgE in non atopic individuls with prurigo.
why should there be a rise in IgE and what is its significance if there is no relation to severity etiology and treatment.
This is what is very confusing.
some cases of prurigo the levels of IgE are low and in some it is high.
kindly give me some inputs as to the significance and eveluation of IgE.
