How to write reflection coefficient in terms of its co and cross polarization reflection coefficient?

For the design of a metamaterial absorber, both co and cross-polarized reflection coefficients are required to calculate absorptivity. So I want to know the mathematical relation between the reflection coefficient and its co and cross-polarized reflection coefficient component?

S11=Sxx+i Sxy

Is the above equation correct?

S11-reflection coefficient

Sxx-Co polarized reflection coefficient

Sxy-Cross polarized reflection coefficient
