This will depend on the type of intersection. If you have a roundabout, the image will be more dense near the roundabout where the congestion is high. Using ArGis you can colour depending on the intensity and thus getting the hot spots of traffic jam.

Hello, it depends on data you have. If you have car trajectories, I think you can deduct number of vehicles per kilometer and speed. Then you can have the density, which is a good indicator for traffic jams

As others have already answered, it depends on what exactly you would like to visualise and the available data. A simple visualisation tool can be found here (https://open-traffic.epfl.ch/index.php/2021/09/23/travia-a-traffic-data-visualization-and-annotation-tool-in-python/).
