Then if we have a resolution test chart with a group of elements, whose width varies gradually, say like if their widths are 5um (1st), 4um(2nd), 3um(3rd), 2um(4th) and 1um(5th). And the width of the gaps between two elements are 5um, 4um, 3um, and 2um.
If our microscopy system can only resolve down to the third element (3um wide), does this mean the resolution should be 3+1/2*(4+3)=6.5um? That's the distance between the centers of the two gaps beside the third element.
I am not sure about this case but if you certainly know third element is the resolution limit it might be a right answer otherwise it is better to use Sparrow resolution limit method.
