I am trying to make use of the codes (codes are below the question) for feature selection using Bortuta_RF algorithm in combination with cross-validation. The codes were from a published paper (link for the paper: https://www.jstatsoft.org/article/view/v036i11). However, Window system does not support multicore package and I could not run the mclappy() function. I want to use lappy() function (in "parallel" package) instead.
My question is: how can I modify the codes in "CV.Boruta

Qamar Ul Islam Thank you very much for your clear explaination on the lappy() function. Luckily, after I required the "parallel" package, the mclappy() function worked. I also could create a "list" of folds and put into the "mclappy()" or "lappy()" following your explaination.

lapply function is applied for operations on list objects and returns a list object of same length of original set. lapply function in R, returns a list of the same length as input list object, each element of which is the result of applying FUN to the corresponding element of list.
