Hello everyone,
I am currently trying to compute the mechanical behavior of a composite shell with viscoelastic ABD matrix using the UGENS subroutine.
However, when I try to turn on the NLGEOM parameter, it becomes nearly impossible to make the model converge whatever the loads/boundary conditions I apply (also, I made some tests with my UGENS subroutine without geometric nonlinearities and it shouldn't be the problem).
I tried to add energy dissipation, modify the solution controls or decrease the minimum time incrementation, but nothing worked so far.
Anyone has an idea on how I should process to get a result ?

Rrgarding the problem, I may have found the reason but am still unable to solve it. I realized the "hourglasse energy" is very high, around more than 80% of the internal energy ALLIE.
However, even if I'm using quadratic shell elements (with reduced integration) and finer mesh, I can't get rid of this energy.
Any idea on how to proceed ?
