I'm studying the combustion of boron particles in a combustion chamber. Because the surface of boron particles is coated with boron oxide, the combustion of boron particles is divided into two stages, ignition stage and combustion stage. In the ignition stage, is the removal of boron oxide; In the combustion phase, pure boron is burned directly with oxygen. Then, the help I need to provide is how to use DPM in fluent to conduct ignition and combustion simulation of boron particles? My idea is to define the thickness and material of the oxide layer based on UDFs. Then, the combustion model can be changed to multi-surface reactions using the combustion particle fuel, setting chemical reactions in the species model. However, I have not realized the use of UDF to complete the definition of DPM particle oxide layer thickness and material. Could you help me?
