By definition, (+)strand is the strand identical to transcripted rna.In my comprehension,this means that all genes are located on (-)strand.How could a microrna gene oriented from (+)strand?I think this means that the sequence of this microrna is identical to (-)strand.
Does this +/- refer to host gene?If so,when a microRNA oriented from(+) strand,can i say that this microRNA located in the antisense of its host gene?

It will be clear to you when you answer this! In the central dogma, after the replication, which strand do you think is transcribed? Is it the sense or the anti-sense strand for mRNA synthesis?

Hi Song,
you started with a wrong point. regarding the genome, there are two strands and genes can be on both of them. (+)strand means that your gene is coded from left (5') to right (3'). the contrary is used for genes coded on the minus strand. (+) and (-) strands are not same, but they are complementary, that allows hybridation of both strands (A with T, G with C). take a look at the attached picture, it will help you.

In case of miRNA, strand information is not of the gene. It is actual orientation in which miRNA is transcribed. And Yes, you can say that microRNA located in the antisense of its host gene.
