Can anyone tell how to unbound/release the absorbed dye from the fungus.

Your textile dye exits certainly in the TRANS form rather than the CIS form.
For the absorption and according to the nature of your fungal balls) you need groups (acidic or basic)) . The structure of your dye is needed.
I hope you are not working with metal complex azo dyes!!
Using low or high pH values, you can unbound the dye but you 'll destroy or modify the surface of you fungi.
