I have a regular microscope and I want to study the liquid crystal phase of DNA solution, so I actually need a polarizing microscopy.

I wonder what components should I add to my regular microscope? Do I just need to add a polarizer and an analyzer? If so what grade of polarizer should I buy from Edmund Optics, or other company?

Or should I add more components? A Bertrand lens?
