I need to do two structural analyses in two separate systems. the first is NL containing plastic deformation.
But when I drop the solution on the next system, I have two options :
on the model and on solution .
first question : what are the differences ?
second : why doesn't dropping on the the next analysis system Model section give any connection ?
when I drop the solution on the set up, and open the model, there is an added folder under Analysis section called subprocess (or substructure I dont remember)
Should I use Vwrite ? and if so, how do I do that ?

You encounter a fundamental problem when moving between systems in that system A uses one set of modelling assumptions whereas set B used another. Therefore, it is not certain that data can be moved and stay intact.
To exemplify, assume that system A uses a third order equation system (YA = A1*X3 + B1*X2 + C1*X + D1)and system B uses a second order system (YB = A2*X2 + B2*X + C2) . Data then can be moved from A to B only within certain data ranges.
To further compound the issue, transferring a data field from A and to B becomes a task where you expect B to solve an inverse problem before it can continue the analysis.
To exemplify an inverse problem, if I tell you the answer is four (4) - now, please tell me what is my question. The solution space to inverse problems is perhaps infinite, certainly very large as the answer may be 2*2, 1+3, sqrt(16) or for that matter how many slippers there are under my sofa.
The topic of inverse problems is a classic. It periodically resurfaces on RG. I suggest you search the RG questions database if your interest on the subject of inverse problems is peeked.
On top of the above, there may be differences in data format between the systems. Such may take some effort but can usually be overcome with effort, time and patience.

My answer to this question is in the context of structure-to-structure analysis since depends on what modules are connected togethers ( Structure-to-structure, structural-Thermal and etc.) the answers may be different.
In first case, once you connect solution of a “static structural” module to a “model” of another “static structural” module, what happens is that the deformed geometry and the mesh of the first module will be transferred to the second module, however, stress, strain and displacement results calculated in the first module will not be transferred to second module. Hence, you can insert other BCs in the second module and solve the numerical model. This method is very useful in case you are dealing with high plastic deformation.
In second case, once you connect solution of a “static structural” module to a “setup” of another “static structural” module, you will be able to import nodal displacements calculated in the first module to the second module. You need to insert same geometry that was used in the first module in the second module. There are different options available for importing results from the first module to the second module e.g. temperature, displacement and etc. This method is quit useful in structure-to-structure where you want to have more focus on a portion of your model and use a very high dense mesh in there.

You can first run a typical linear structural analysis case and duplicate the same and run the other case with non linear analysis options. Later, drag and drop the model file of solved earlier cases to solve the new case.
