I am synthesizing ZnO nanoparticles by using plant extract. I want to study the effect of pH on the synthesis and need to adjust the pH of the reaction to obtain the optimal pH for nanoparticle synthesis. Please suggest when and how I should change the pH.
1. Do I adjust the pH of the Zn Salt and add the plant extract to it.
2. Or do I adjust the pH of the plant extract and add the Zn solution to it?
3. Or do I adjust the pH of both the plant extracts and the Zn solution separately to desired values and mix them.
You should adjust the pH of the Zinc salt solution and then add leaf extract.
It will be nice if you could practice and master the art of synthesis of ZnO nano-particles using some suitable Zn-salt, may be ZnCl2.
After attaining mastery in the field, you may apply the acquired knowledge to make ZnO nano-particles from your plant-extract, which is I understand, is hitherto not known .

While green synthesizing silver nanoparticles I found what is working is adjusting the pH after mixing sliver ions solution and the plant extract.
