we sometimes also store our freshly blotted membranes for a week or two, when we have o wait for an antibody. We usually store the membranes in small plastic tubs in Tris buffered saline (TBS) buffer (no Tween 20) and covered with parafilm at 4°C.

It's been years since I handled nitrocellulose (we use PVDF) but usually you can just let the membrane dry out and then store it at room temperature (perhaps between two sheets of tissue to prevent stuff falling onto it). This generally suffices for days if not weeks/months: the proteins are immobilised, so they're not going to go anywhere.

When you're ready to resume, just rewet the membrane in methanol to aid rehydration, then wash a couple of times in TBS-T, and away you go.

You can definitely store your nitrocellulose in TBS for 3-5 days. I would not want to leave it to long in solution because the proteins can and will start to diffuse off of the membrane. As John said, you can dry your membrane and then rehydrate it later. However, I have found that when you let nitrocellulose dry it gets very brittle and cracks.

With TBS, membranes can be retained for 3 to 5 days even for a week at 4 ° C in a poly pack or plastic tubes filled with buffer. You may also preserve it with TBS-T for 1-2 days at 4 ° C.

It's possible to store nitrocellulose membranes between two plastic sheets after a TBS or monodistilled water wash (based on the last wash reported in the specific protocol) at 4 °C for 1-2 days. Pay attention on mold contamination, because of the presence of water.

I would block it as usual, wash it with buffer, water and let it dry. Then store in 4°C and rewet with several changes of buffer and block again before adding the primary antibody.

Keep the nitro cellulose membrane in normal type 1 water in refrigerator with little sodium zide , membrane should not be dry... And change the water twice in a day..while changing water.keep the membrane intact by holding it with some plastic forceps
