Given the unique situation of COVID19, we are running short of liquid N2. Can the Cryopreserved Human Small Airway Epithelial Cells (Lonza) be stored in -80 freezer instead?
Do you need to store the epithelial cells for short term? Our team has developed a new solution for room temperature storage of cells, avoiding the need for cryopreservation.
from my experience, cells can stay for up to 6 months in a stable -80 .. if LN is not available .. this varies from a cell line to another (primary vs cell lines)
