I bought two kinds of nanoscale black phosphorus(BP)——BP Quantum Dots(1~10nm) and BP Sheets(100nm~1um). I wanted to see how cytotoxic they were, but when I added them to the medium there was very heavy contamination.
Given that black phosphorus is very easy to degrade, I would like to know how to sterilize it appropriately.

You did not mention whether the contamination is bacterial or fungal. However, it may be possible to filter sterilize a solution/suspension of your black phosphorus using a 0.4 or 0.2 micron filter. The BP sheets may be too large of course but worth a trial. If this does not work then, depending its resistance to heat you could try 'Tyndalization', you can find the method easily in Wiki. It involves heating but not above 100C.
