I have a measured the young modulus and yield strength of a material at different points. What would be the best way to apply spatially varying material properties along a mesh by interpolating the properties at this measured points in Abaqus?
-Since I want varying plastic properties, *distribution will not work.
-I would rather not use my own UMAT so I can try different plasticity models from Abaqus.
-Doing it with a USDFLD just seems very complex for spatially interpolating between more than 2 points.
Is creating an element set for every element the only way? Is this computationally very expensive for the solver or only the input file pre-processor?
