Hi, all When I compiling UDFs, I can build "libudf", but I can't load it. So could anyone can help me or to explain why? my system consists of the following: - Microsoft Windows 10 x64 - ANSYS Fluent 17.0 x64 - Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Thank you very much! Error: The UDF library you are trying to load (libudf) is not compiled for 3ddp on the curent platform (win64). The system cannot find the file specified.
That is really tricky. I would suggest that you go thru compiling process step by step. It is good that you indicated you already have Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 since that also causes compiling problems. In your case, you can start with a simple 2D geometry to see if a udf file compiles at all or not. If it does not compile even in 2D model, then you may be suspicious with version of Visual Studio, full path of a udf file (i.e., working directory) or udf file itself (i.e., a syntax). However, if your 2D model works with the udf file then you may focus on double precision or 3D geometry to see why compiling progress is complaining.
If you are running Fluent in parallel, it can be a source of many problems.
If it is you case try to compile your UDF using a single proc.
If this does not help, can you mention the exact messages you get on the screen when you make the compilation ?

I started a 2D geometry and load the udf file in the software but I still face the same problem , now Im suspicious whit the compatibility of ansys17 and visual studio 2015.
1_first, how can I link fluent and visual studio?
2_and how can i Sett the Environmental Variables?
3_and which version of visual studio can be usefull (express , enterprise or professional )
4_do you suggest me to install others version of visual studio (2013 or other...)

You did great by simplifying your model to find the source of error. Your questions are now so specific and they should be addressed by either Ansys Fluent technical support / distributor or an engineer who experienced a similar problem to yours recently in my opinion. When we faced a similar problem several years ago, we had to go thru similar step by step procedure to locate the problem. But, you are right that compatibility issues need to be solved and link between Visual Studio and Fluent is required to be established. As a rule of thumb, I would suggest you to use the latest version of Visual Studio since Ansys Fluent 17.0 (the one that you use) was released early 2016 while Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 was available in 2015.
