I am a student and I have been trying to mesh this part but I am failing to mesh it with smaller elements because I get a warning that some of the marked elements are of poor quality (photo is attached). I have found out that if I make the curved outer straight the problem solves, but I am supposed to try to make this geometry work. So I am trying but failing. A finer Mesh doesn´t solve the problem. Sweep instead of structure does neither.
I use: nonlinear Geometry, Hex Elements structured (part is green), A Seed size of 1. It works with bigger seeds. And I use quadratic elements.
I think it is because of the complex geometry in that area but I am supposed to try to make this geometry work. So I am trying but failing. A finer Mesh doesn´t solve the problem. Sweep instead of structure does neither.
Honestly I don´t now how to solve this because of my lack of experience. I am just starting with Abaqus. My only idea is to partition this ares even further.

Solid elements in FEA are usually tetrahedral (pyramid) or hex (cube). It is preferable to mesh the part such that your tetrahedral elements to be like pyramids as much as possible and hex to be like cubes as much as possible.
The bad elements seem to be along the 2 sharp edges of the geometry. I think the sharp edges make it difficult for your hex elements to be like cubes. It likely needs to take one of the 12 edges of each cube and stretch it very far away from their centroids to create the sharp edge.
My suggestions:
1. Fillet the sharp edges. Normally sharp edges are not ideal from a physical point of view unless it is a cutting tool, plus it should avoid issues in meshing.
2. Try to use tetrahedral elements along the edges. This will result in a series of very "flat" pyramids along the edges, but you may have better luck than hex.
