Hi all!
I'm doing analysis with shear failure criteria, and and I always get error saying there is conflict in line 31435. I'm using abaqus 6.13-1, I know that the problem lies in line (*shear failure\0.2,) but I don't know how to fix it. How do I type it so that analysis can work?

No matter how I write it it always gives me error saying there is conflict in keywords because of the changes I made in model-1.
Does your material model allow for a shear failure option?
You might also want to check for invisible characters in the inp-file; sometimes you have some control character abaqus cannot interpret (if you edited it by hand, if written by CAE, this does not happen).
It would be helpful if you would post the exact error message and the material definition from your inp-file.
I have figured out the problem with conflict, but now i have a different problem. The elements won't delete, the just become extremely distorted.

For a 'quick fix', go to tools-> display group -> create, then follow the picture I have attached below.
Choose "remove" on perform boolean on the viewport.
However, please check on your plastic properties, and surface interaction.
