I am a Ms. student. I applied the program because I want to learn more about power electronics and renewable energy fields which I have been employed before my undergraduate end.
However, I have compulsory lessons ( which are actually 4 of total of 8 courses and I think this is so so so silly) and one of them is Power system analysis. I am aware of the importance of the subject but neither I am interested at nor my work in real life had allowed me to go deep about it.
So during the course, I had followed the plan did the homeworks which were not that hard to understand.
But, there is this term project which is beyond my limits so I am here to seek help.
In the attachments the term project data can be seen. There is a 30 bus system with IEEE common data format. We are asking to solve some problems.
First I need to build Ybus according to data but I am unable to do it since I don't know how to do!!
In a 3-bus or 5 bus system, I know but for this type of bigger systems, I don't know how to code Matlab or Matpower to solve power flow solution.
I don't want a exact solution to copy of course but, I want to have method or explanation how to do it, which data to use ect. ?
I searched some examples but all of them used a different technique and a bit not clear for me. So I would be appreciated somebody can help me with this.

First things first, the first 3 paragraphs of your question are irrelevant and may come out as unprofessional.
The method to build the Y-bus matrix is standard and simple. I doubt different sources use different methods; however, perhaps:
1) they are building the imaginary part only. or the system they're looking into has lossless transmission lines
2) they are using different names/nomenclature.
you can refer to Power system analysis text book by hadi saadat or Duncan, glover and overbye for that. (ignore the method to build the Z-bus matrix, that's too complicated for your application).
You don't need to code it. Since you mentioned MATPOWER, matpower does it for you. lookup the command: makeYbus. if the matlab variable 'mpc', includes your case data (i.e. the transmission lines data), then you get the Ybus matrix with: makeYbus(mpc)

two things to keep in mind:
1) The system does not have any shunt components connected to ground. it is an example system for coding.
2) I think i made a mistake in the video copying the question parameters from a PDF file.
