Want to set optical density of bacterial cultures at 0.5 or 0.3 of Bacillus spp and Pseudomonas spp. to check their antimicrobial activity. How can I set?
Hi. You should prepare suspension from cultures and measure the optical density spectrophotmetrically at 600nm if density above than 05 you can dilute it by sterile saline water

Hello. I agree with Karen. Just a detail, you can dilute with any desired solvent (sterile culture media, sterile water, etc.), depending on what are you going to do with the suspension later. Always remember to stablish the Zero with the solvent before measuring the suspension. Regards
I chek with nanodrop spectophotometer of pseudomans 1.0, bacillus 0.3, B. stagnalis 0.8 in 50 ml Lb MEDIA , NOW i want to compare the antifungal activity, Do I need to set equal optical density of these bacteria?
