After esterification of lauric acid ang glycerol, I have a mixture of mono, di and triglycerides with percentages of about 50%, 40%, and 10% respectively. My starting materials are lauric acid and glycerol. please note that the above mixture has melting point of 33 degree Celsius (eutectic mixture), however after vacuum distillation of monoglycerides the melting point becomes about 60 degree Celsius. Now I need to separate monoglycerides (monolaurin) without distillation to save energy. thanks
