How to select the length of the feed line in patch antenna ?

i have to knew how to select the length of the feed line in patch antenna, i didn't find it in Balanis book !!!!!!!

The length does not matter. There feed may be inset, with slots either side of it, or have a quarter wave matching section that is wider than the feed line, beyond that the length of line makes no difference except attenuation.
