I am going to synthesized ZnO nanoparticles. How I will select a plant to have good result for nanoparticles synthesis.
For ZnO most of the citrus fruit plants act as reducing agent meaning you can use lime extract, orange extract.
Aloe vera , hibiscus rosasinensis can also be used.
Thanks alot Dear Jyoti Mayekar
Thanks you Peter and Michael

Plant rich with polyphenols are excellent
Thanks Zahir
Plants rich in antioxidants are active in Ag NPs synthesis
Usually medicinal plant are active
Yes you are right Fazal Hussain
Plants rich in sterols, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and alkaloids etc are the best
Yeah I have tried it. Gave excellent result
Plants like Medicago, Convolvulus and Durenta family are the best choice
I have already used Medicago polymorpha
And also Convolvulus
Use a series of local plant from 10 to 15. Then select the one which give you change in color very rapid
Yes ofcourse will do as
Check articles that show the amount of biochemical active compounds (such as polyphenols) in parts of some plants.
If no articles available. Than ? Abdounasser Omar
I would then try the greenery part of a local plant which presents in appreciable quantities around (profitability) or one which some of its parts are considered as an environmental concern. Muhammad Ismail
In water or organic solvent ?
I would prefer using water
Thanks
Yes water will be best.
I would prefer using water too.
1- Water is a green solvent
2- Water is easily available in large excess
3- Water is cost effective
Yes agree with @Sami Khan
Mostly medicinal are active for biosynthesis
Every medicinal plant is not active
Not every but more than 70% are active
Most of them are active. As medicinal plants are rich in antioxidant and polyphenols which are responsible for the reduction
Our local plants have very little medicinal info
Use medicinal plant
Yes but their selection is difficult
Variety of literature is available in this regard
Dear very limited literature is available regarding our local plants
You can perform a series of experiment for all your plants. The one which give you rapid color change with silver nitrate will be best
Yes have done by this method
Do as Tahir recommend
Plants rich in polyphenols are excellent
Exactly the plants rich in polyphenols are excellent
Tahir Saeed Khan
Thanku sir
Use Medicago
I have already used that
You can use Plant Latex
Yes thanks but latex solubility issue
Use local fruit plants
Most of that are reported
You can use bacterial strain also
Yes but plants could be handled easy
Convolvulus arvensis ?
Yar anar try karo
Alaud Din
Fazal Hussain
Convolvulus cneorum
Yes
Follow
Recommend
Thanks All
Use latex
Excellent contribution to the discussion.
Thank you
I means is there any green method with no need of toxic chemicals, high temperature, green solvent. We are performing biosynthesis of nanoparticles. Is that 100% green method ?
