After the preparation of graphene oxide by improved hummer methode, the washing and separation will be a problem. Usually I use centrifugation times and times again (10000rpm), but for every cycle there always some dissolve graphene oxide in supernatant (the brown yellow color sometimes obvious). So for several cycles I think I might lost considerable yields. Does anybody has some opinions about it to avoid the loss of yields?
You can recover dissolved GO using freeze dryer. Also, ultracentrifugation may be useful
Can i ask , why You used centrifuge cycles again and again.when u did this project....i am asking this, as i am about to use hummers method too...and i have planned to use the centrifuge just twice...your question has made me confused.

Repeated use of centrifuge is to remove unwanted ions and complete acid removal.
If you don't wash your end product completely, it may mask your results.
