Dear All,
I am Pravin. I have trouble in removing imprecise entities in my imported geometry (shown in the attachment) using virtual topology in Abaqus. I have to get rid of these entities because I have trouble generating the mesh on this part. The error message shows the following:
'Mesh generation failed while merging adjacent meshes'
Please help me in getting around this problem. Any help in this regard would be appreciable.

For a geometry like this, it would be an idea to do a swept mesh https://www.comsol.com/blogs/improving-your-meshing-with-swept-meshes/. Perhaps you are already trying to this. The geometry looks simple, but it may be that you need to use CAD software to fix this. Otherwise, you could have several parts and use TIE.

ANSYS WORKBENCH is really powerful in meshing. I suggest that you solve your model in WB. There are also some software like SpaceClaim which allows you to repair you geometry and make it ready for CAE.
