More information is needed before I'd be able to answer the question.

• Is the product distillable, with a boiling point well below that of DMF? If yes, distill it out.

• Is the product nonvolatile and thermally stable? If yes, distill out the DMF under strong vacuum.

• Is the product acidic or basic (and if yes, do the protonated or deprotonated forms have different solubility properties)?

• Is the product soluble in salty water?

• Have you tried preparative chromatography?
