Commonly a value of about 1 mg/ml with a dispensing rate of 1ul/mm ( 1 ug/mm) of Antibodies is used in LFIAs to form T and C lines. Due to the high cost of Abs, this value is not cost-effective. Some researchers emphasize the reduction of LOD by developing effective Antibody tagged nanoprobes to enhance sensitivity and thus reduce the amount of employed Abs. Is there any other way to reduce the amount of Abs used in LFIAs?

In this paper, the effect of two concentrations of Ab was explored on LOD, and it was concluded that the 1.5 mg/ml is good, but, my question is that "How can we use low amounts of antibodies?"
Suppose you have a solution of Ab at a concentration of 3 ug/ml.
Is it possible to reach a visual signal via gold nano particles in T line?
In this situation, we have to reduce the amount of Target to prevent "hook effect", which it makes the number of nanoparticles connected to the test line be very low.
